A Banner Year Ahead for U.S. Beauty?

Total sales are expected to exceed $62 billion in 2016.
According to a recent report from global firm MarketResearch.com, premium cosmetics and online shopping will continue to propel beauty sales in the next few years to a possible global total of over $126 billion by 2019. Brands particularly active in this space include Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford. Demand for high-end sun care products is also expected to rise during this period. Momentum will likely continue in emerging markets throughout Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe.

In 2016, the U.S., which has the largest cosmetics market in the world, is anticipating revenues upwards of $62 billion. This market is expected to grow through 2018, to reach $8.4 billion.
Data predicts that the global fragrances and perfumes market will expand through 2019. Demand in Asia Pacific, Latin America and Eastern Europe has increased, and the rise in online sales will drive growth over the next several years.
